Offbeat Meru

Offbeat Safaris pride themselves on providing guests with an exclusive experience in remote wildlife areas, and Offbeat Meru epitomizes this important goal. The camp is small and traditional, located on the edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanadi National Reserve. This stunning location overlooks the Bisanadi River with its beautiful riverine forest. Meru National Park is one of Kenya’s most magical areas away from the masses, hosting all of the ‘Big Five’ plus outstanding birding opportunities.

Offbeat Meru comprises of six tents; two twins, three doubles and one family unit. Each tent is furnished with a huge iron bed, mosquito net and has its own en-suite bathroom, with traditional hot safari shower and flushing loo. Each tent also has 24 hour solar lighting. Meals are taken in the main dining tent or next to the campfire, in the evenings. There is a bar and library area within the main camp which is lit by traditional tilly lamps and the swimming pool offers a welcome cool refreshment at the end of the day.
