Wildlife Wanderings

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met and transferred to Arusha for a pre-safari briefing. Relax and unwind at Rivertrees Country Inn, where you’ll enjoy a delightful dinner. 

After breakfast, venture into Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive amidst its diverse habitats. Witness the Great Rift Valley’s stunning landscapes and encounter a variety of wildlife, including herds of elephants and magnificent birdlife. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment Wall to overnight at the Mandhari Lodge.

Embark on a mesmerizing journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano forms an awe-inspiring natural amphitheater, stretching 25 kilometers across and teeming with an abundance of African wildlife. Begin your day with a thrilling descent into the crater, where you’ll be greeted by spectacular scenery and unparalleled game viewing opportunities. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic inhabitants of this unique ecosystem, from towering elephants to graceful zebras. Later, retreat to the comfort of Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the crater rim, offering panoramic vistas and the chance to witness wildlife roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Depart for the endless plains of the Serengeti, where wildlife thrives in abundance. Enjoy game drives in the central areas, exploring the natural wonders of the Serengeti ecosystem. Stay at Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp (Dec-Mar, Aug-Sep) or Naona Moru Camp (Apr-Jul, Oct-Nov).

Continue your exploration of the Serengeti’s vast plains, observing resident cats and herds of animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature’s splendor before returning to your camp for the night.

Embark on an early morning game drive followed by a leisurely lunch at camp. In the afternoon, we set off to see the nocturnal animals beginning their night’s work.  It is also a perfect location to experience the magic of the Serengeti from above with an optional Serengeti Balloon Safari (additional costs apply).

Depart the Serengeti, stopping at Oldupai Gorge for lunch and a visit to its prehistoric archaeological sites. Journey to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll enjoy a classic bush experience.

Experience an early morning game drive in Tarangire, renowned for its massive elephant herds and scenic beauty. This is true Africa and the perfect way to end our adventures.  After the safari, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha, where your journey concludes.
