Passion, enthusiasm and an unquenchable thirst to explore & capture our natural world’s wildlife perfectly who I am & what I love to do. Thanks to a deep and beautiful love for nature and photography, both instilled by my dad at a young age, I grew up with no other purpose in mind other than being as close as possible to wildlife.
I recently finished 6 years of full-time guiding for the world-renowned Singita Game Reserves gaining crucial skills not only within the field but also as a courteous host.
I followed through with my childhood ambitions and worked within the professional guiding industry for 9 years as a lodge-based ranger.
I now find myself traveling through Africa hosting guests on safari through Wild Eye Photographic – a company I co-own. Through my African adventures I kept my photographic passion alive. Behind a camera aimed at a lion or a leopard is where I am most at home, my heart skipping a beat at the mere thought of it. I have appeared on international television shows such as the NBC Today Show and The Martha Stewart Show. I have been published by leading international magazines and have a few photographic awards under my belt. I believe this has all stemmed from a deep and intense love for nature.
I am a full time safari guide and wildlife photographer. Through my company, Wild Eye, which I co-own along with Gerry van der Walt, Andrew Beck & Jono Buffy we host guests on safari through most of Africa. I get to travel to the most incredible wildlife destinations and I get to do so with guests by my side whom I can guide and showcase the wonders of Africa to!
My intention has never been solely for recognition but for the plight of what’s left of our natural recourses. Using my love and understanding of wildlife I am able to convey to the viewer more than an image or a fleeting moment. I aim to tell a story, to bring that moment alive to you and to capture your heart through it.
