Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp – Ndutu
Experience the heart of the wildebeest migration at Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp, where comfort meets responsible tourism.
Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp offers an intimate and unique safari experience with 11 mobile tents that relocate throughout the year, following the wildebeest migration. From December 1 to March 31, the camp is situated in the Small Marsh area of Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, placing guests in the midst of the migration herds as they gather to feed on nutritious grass and prepare for calving. This period, especially between late January and late February, is an incredible time to witness new life and predator activity in the southern plains.
.
Each tent measures 12m by 4m, constructed from heavy-duty safari rip-stop canvas made locally in Morogoro, Tanzania, and features additional cooling shade-clothing. The tents open fully at the front, with layers of mosquito netting and canvas for protection and ventilation. Inside, the tents are furnished with sideboards, storage chests, carpets, and beds fitted with imported cotton sheets, double pillows, duvets, and bed runners. Each bed is fully netted for mosquito protection. The tents also have netted windows on each side, ensuring refreshing, insect-free breezes.
